These were printed without a price to allow the country receiving same to set their own price. ![]() But my recollection is that Random House printed all the first editions for not only the US but for Canada, as well. I am unable to gain confirmation from Random House that this was the Australian edition. This edition has all points including printed in USA 4/77 on the rear fold over flap and the initials impressed into the front board. The American edition had a price in US dollars, with all points otherwise being the same as the UK edition which had a price in £'s. The publication data reads" 2 4 6 8 9 7 5 3 First Edition, " which is an indicaton of a true first edition from Random House.The Dust jacket is printed without a price. ![]() The front foldover has been creased, as has the rear one. ![]() ![]() The dustwrapper has edgewear and severe chipping to the top and the bottom edges, with some loss, and a 1" tear to the top of front panel. 726 pp., one foldout colour plate, and other black and white full-page illustrations by the brothers Hildebrandt. ![]()
